My Journey - From Tech Enthusiast to Cybersecurity Expert

Early Tech Enthusiasm Link to heading

Technology has always fascinated me. I started with electrical engineering – hardware, circuits, the physical side of technology. But relatively quickly it became clear: Computer Science is where I really belong. Software offers more flexibility, faster iteration, and the ability to solve problems on a completely different level.

Studies at KIT & Founder Community Link to heading

Computer Science studies at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Focus: Cybersecurity and Machine Learning.

During my studies, I joined the founder student group Innovate in Karlsruhe. There I met many of my founder contacts who are still part of my network today. I also have some founders and self-employed people in my circle of friends – this community has definitely shaped how I think about entrepreneurship.

Master Thesis at Chair of Dependable Nano Computing (CDNC) on Power Side-Channel Attacks on Neural Network Accelerators. Research on data reconstruction through analysis of hardware power consumption.

Publication at IEEE FCCM 2023: “Power2Picture: Using Generative CNNs for Input Recovery of Neural Network Accelerators through Power Side-Channels on FPGAs”.

Professional Experience - Consulting at PwC and Spike Digital Reply Link to heading

After graduation, started at Spike Digital Reply as Security Consultant.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Cloud Security Operations
  • API Security & Penetration Testing
  • DevSecOps Consulting
  • Lead AI Security Taskforce
  • Speaker at Vodafone Enterprise Plenum

What I learned:

Consulting was an excellent school. I gained experience in how enterprise companies and larger mid-sized companies function – their processes, their challenges, their decision-making paths.

At the same time, I got to know different technologies and problem areas. Each client had different systems, different requirements, different tech stacks. This diversity was extremely valuable.

Venedy Link to heading

Together with Armin Skollik, I’m working on Venedy – an AI-powered API Security Testing Platform.

The idea originated from consulting experience: Manual API pentests take weeks and are costly. Conventional scanners miss Business Logic Vulnerabilities. With LLM technology, we automate the testing and make it accessible to companies of all sizes.

Launch: Q2 2026

Security Consulting Link to heading

In parallel, I offer Cybersecurity Consulting for selected clients – Cloud Security Audits, API security architecture, DevSecOps implementation.
